From 14-week-old ‘whopper’ puppies to retirement seekers, the range of dogs looking for their forever homes this month is a testament to the fact that there is a perfect match out there for every kind of household.
This month’s list features several ‘Underdogs’ - those residents who have been overlooked for six months or more. Some, like the gentle Shar Pei cross Edie, have spent almost their entire lives in care, while others like Jupiter have been waiting for over 1,600 days.
Whether they are ‘Velcro dogs’ who never want to leave your side, or active ‘cracking’ Collies who are ready for a life of mountain hikes, these dogs have one thing in common: a mountain of love just waiting to be shared.
Here are those pooches looking for their new human parents at the Dogs Trust, and for more information or to enquire about the homing process, you can read more about it on their official website.

1. Jupiter (Doberman)
Jupiter is a 6-year-old Doberman who has spent over 1,600 days in care. He is a 'Velcro dog' looking for a patient, adult-only home where someone is around most of the time. While he needs a secure garden and quiet walks away from other dogs, he is fully housetrained, loves tennis balls, and happily wears his muzzle. | Dog's Trust

2. Brontë (Crossbreed)
Brontë is a bubbly, playful 5-year-old Crossbreed looking for an active, peaceful adult home as the only pet. She can be shy initially and remains worried by other dogs, so she needs a patient owner who will enjoy continuing her training. Once she knows you, her super cheeky and adventurous personality shines through, and she’s always ready for fun. | Dog's Trust

3. Edie (Shar Pei Cross)
Edie is a gentle 7-year-old who has spent most of her life in care and is the longest-term resident at the centre. She is a perfect house guest who is fully housetrained, relaxed, and loves snuggling. While shy initially and worried by other dogs, she is a dream companion for a peaceful, adult-only home with a secure garden where she can be the only pet. | Dog's Trust

4. Rory (Lurcher)
Rory is a lovable 5-year-old Lurcher who was originally found as a stray and is currently thriving in a foster home. He is fully housetrained, walks beautifully on a lead, and is no trouble at all in a calm environment. While he needs to be the only pet in a home where someone is around all the time, he is fine to live with secondary school-aged children and is a true sofa snuggler. | Dog's Trust

5. Herbie (Greyhound)
Herbie is a handsome 2-year-old ex-racer looking for his first proper home. He is a sociable, easy-going lad who can live with other dogs and secondary school-aged children. While he loves chasing toys and going for walks, he is a true couch potato at heart who enjoys a good lounge on his bed and becomes increasingly affectionate as he builds a bond with his new family. | Dog's Trust

6. Ryan (Mastiff Cross)
Ryan is a 14-week-old puppy who is already an absolute whopper and looking for his first home. As he is still so young, he will need full basic training and an enclosed garden to help with his house training. He is young enough to potentially live with cats or other well-rounded adult dogs, and would suit a family with secondary school-aged children who are comfortable with very large, bouncy dogs. | Dog's Trust
