The RSPCA Leeds, Wakefield and District branch is searching for permanent homes for 14 cats currently in its care.
The latest selection of rescue animals includes energetic young kittens looking for active families, bonded pairs who need to be rehomed together, and senior cats hoping to find a quiet, calm environment to spend their retirement.
Staff at the local branch assess each cat individually to help match them with the most suitable environments and potential owners based on their specific lifestyle needs.

1. Billy, Dave and Doris (Domestic short hair, 3 years old)
Described by staff as the three musketeers of the cattery, Billy, Dave and Doris are an energetic trio who spend their days chasing shoelaces and supervising apartment cleaning. While they love company, they do not show a particularly strong pair bond, meaning they can be adopted as a pair, with one finding a home separately, or individually if there is already a playful feline friend waiting for them. | RSPCA Leeds, Wakefield and District

2. Bobby, Maddie, Phoebe, Libby and Deirdre (Domestic short hair, 3 months old)
Bobby, Maddie, Phoebe, Libby and Deirdre are described by staff as a wonderfully playful, curious and adventurous group of kittens who approach every day with enthusiasm. They are confident, friendly and love being involved in whatever is happening around the house. Because they do not share any particularly strong pair bonds, they can be successfully adopted individually, as a pair, or in other combinations. | RSPCA Leeds, Wakefield and District

3. Billoo (Domestic short hair, 8 years 10 months)
Billoo is an affectionate boy who is stepping into his senior years and looking for a calm, adult-only home. He spent his entire life living with one person who sadly could no longer care for him, and it is clear he was very well loved. Staff describe him as a wonderfully friendly cat who loves company, chin scratches, and finding cosy spots for bird watching and napping. | RSPCA Leeds, Wakefield and District

4. Smudge and Shadow (Domestic short hair, 6 and 7years old)
Smudge and Shadow are a bonded package deal who do absolutely everything together. They arrived at the centre from an unsuitable home, underweight and suffering from hair loss and sore skin due to fleas, but they have since completely transformed. Staff describe Shadow as the more outgoing of the two, greeting visitors with a loud meow, while Smudge is a little more subtle and likes to offer gentle head bumps. | RSPCA Leeds, Wakefield and District

5. Edgar and Edith (Domestic short and domestic long hair, 2 months old)
Edgar and Edith are a gentle brother and sister duo who share a close bond and are looking for a home together. Staff describe them as sweet but slightly nervous kittens who can be startled by loud noises, meaning they would thrive best in a quiet environment where they can build their confidence at their own pace. | RSPCA Leeds, Wakefield and District

6. Duncan (Domestic short hair, 4years and 1 month old)
Duncan is a sweet but cautious boy who is looking for a patient, adult-only home where he can build a close bond at his own pace. He arrived at the centre after his previous owner sadly lost their home, which left him a little unsettled. Staff describe him as a gentle character who loves quiet conversation and can easily be won over with treats. He is a bit of a night owl, becoming much more active and playful as dusk arrives. | RSPCA Leeds, Wakefield and District
