A partnership between Lawcris and EGGER has shaped kitchens across the country.

More than twenty years ago, a partnership quietly began that would help shape the way Britain's kitchen, bedroom and furniture manufacturers access one of Europe's best-known decorative panel brands.

In July 2005, Yorkshire-based distributor Lawcris was appointed as one of the UK's principal distributors for EGGER products, marking the start of a relationship that continues to support manufacturers, furniture makers and interior specialists across the country.

The story of EGGER's rise in the UK is one of long-term investment, manufacturing and supply chain resilience. Founded in 1961 by brothers Michael and Fritz Egger in Austria, the family-owned company has grown from a single chipboard plant into one of Europe's leading manufacturers of wood-based materials. Today, its products are used throughout the furniture, interior design and construction industries, with their melamine-faced boards, laminates and worktops becoming popular choices of materials in everything from bespoke home kitchens to commercial properties.

In 1984 the company opened its Hexham manufacturing plant in Northumberland before expanding its British manufacturing footprint to other sites, helping to reduce lead times and strengthen domestic manufacturing capabilities.

It was against this backdrop that Lawcris joined the story in 2005. Having spent years building a relationship with the Austrian manufacturer, Lawcris was appointed as one of EGGER's principal UK distributors. Over the past two decades, the partnership has enabled customers throughout Britain to access an extensive portfolio of decorative panels, laminates and worktops.

For Lawcris, the 20-year milestone represented more than the longevity of a commercial agreement, it reflected the value of long-term partnerships in an industry where consistency, technical knowledge and dependable supply are every bit as important as the products themselves.

As the furniture and interiors market continues to evolve, the relationship between EGGER's manufacturing expertise and Lawcris' distribution network remains focused on supporting UK manufacturers with the materials, service and product development needed for the next generation of kitchens, bedrooms and interior spaces.

"Strong partnerships are built on consistency, trust and a shared commitment to supporting customers,” said a spokesperson from Lawcris. “Over the last 20 years, our relationship has enabled us to provide UK manufacturers with reliable access to market-leading decorative panel products, backed by the service and technical support they expect from Lawcris."
