Bishop Leeds meets '˜forgotten' refugees

The Bishop of Leeds met 'forgotten' Iraqi and Syrian refugees forced to flee their homes to escape Isis on a trip to northern Iraq with the charity Christian Aid.

Nick Baines said: “We met families who’d lost everything in a moment, and listened to their stories of unimaginable suffering – not only Yazidis, Christians and Shia Muslims, but also Sunni Muslims from Syria and Iraq, because ISIS are indiscriminate in their savagery. And we learned that only nine per cent of promised international humanitarian aid has actually been paid in.
