Sky TV customers to lose access to two channels from today
If you switch on your TV this evening and open up the guide, you might notice a big change.
Sky has removed two of its main channels - with both Showcase and Max disappearing. However, they have been replaced by an old favourite: Sky One.
Returning nearly five years after it was closed down in autumn 2021, it promises to bring together show stopping new tele alongside much-loved favourites all in one place.

The re-launched Sky One made its return today (February 24), resulting in the closing down of Sky Showcase and Sky Max. The broadcaster has said that the channel will be the home of its unmissable comedy and entertainment programmes once again.
Carli Kerr, MD of Sky TV & NOW, said: "Our goal is to make it easier than ever for Sky TV customers to find and enjoy the shows they love.
“Building on the iconic heritage of Sky One, the channel will be a one-of-a-kind destination that’s big, bold and bursting with energy, bringing together brand-new Sky Originals like The Dyers’ Caravan Park, returning favourites such as Rob & Romesh Vs., and serving as the home of the highly anticipated Saturday Night Live UK."
Viewers will be able to watch new shows like The Dyers’ Caravan Park and Gemma Collins: Four Weddings and a Baby, as well as fan favourites Rob & Romesh Vs.., The Paper and Ted, on the channel.
Sky customers can find it on channel 106. Other channels like Sky Atlantic, Sky Comedy, Sky Witness, Nature and Sky Documentaries will be unaffected by the change.
