They include a father-of-10 who was jailed for his part in the Harehills riots after he helped burn items in the street and launched missiles towards police and a pair of thugs were told either or both of them could have died as they set about each other with knives during a bloody street fight.
The list also includes a violent shoplifter left a supermarket manager deaf with a serious brain injury after a single blow when he confronted him for stealing and a drug dealer, who was spared custody two months ago, was locked up after the judge questioned his attitude.
7. Jordan Clark
Jordan Clark was jailed at Leeds Crown Court after a motorist was beaten with a golf club with such ferocity that the weapon snapped and was then used to stab him. Clark admitted Section 18 GBH with intent, possession of an offensive weapon, criminal damage, driving without a licence and without insurance. Clark, of Winrose Hill, Belle Isle, has previous convictions including Section 20 GBH without intent and drug dealing. He was jailed for 40 months. | WYP / NW
8. Nicholas Canning
A stolen Audi that was chased through Leeds was being used as a home for a heroin addict, a court was told. Nicholas Canning was behind the wheel of the A3 model which he crashed after the brief pursuit. He was found guilty after a trial of handling stolen goods, fraudulently use of a registration plate, driving while disqualified, having no insurance and possession of a bladed article. Canning, of Allenby Gardens, Beeston, also admitted possession of a kitchen knife and single wrap of heroin from February 13 last year. He was jailed for 22 months. | WYP / NW
9. Ryan Milner
A violent shoplifter left a supermarket manager deaf with a serious brain injury after a single blow when he confronted him for stealing. Ryan Milner, of no fixed address, has 10 previous convictions for 25 offences , including multiple for violence, affray and shoplifting. He admitted Section 20 GBH without intent and theft. 10. Ryan Carpenter
A drug dealer who was spared custody two months ago has been locked up after the judge questioned his attitude. Ryan Carpenter was given an 18-month sentence, suspended for 24 months, in June for supplying cannabis, with conditions to complete rehabilitation days. It dated back to an in incident in April 2023. The 32-year-old was brought back to Leeds Crown Court where he admitted breaching the order. Carpenter, of Whincover Driver, Farnley, had the full 18-month sentence activated. | WYP / Getty
