Emmie Worth, aged 36, of Grove Drive, South Kirkby, has been charged with being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs and possession of a Class B drug with intent to supply.

She was remanded in custody to appear at Leeds Magistrates’ Court on November 28 and has been further remanded ahead of her next appearance at Leeds Crown Court on December 29.

The police activity has been the result of joint working between the Wakefield Child Vulnerability and Exploitation Team (CVET), the Wakefield East Neighbourhood Policing Team, Wakefield District Precision Team and the Force’s County Lines Taskforce.

Detective Sergeant Kirsty Senior, from Wakefield CVET, said: “We are determined to make our communities safer by acting on information about individuals who exploit others for their own gain.

"Over the past fortnight, we have taken thousands of pounds worth of illegal substances off our streets and seized cash suspected of being linked to criminality.

“I would like to thank members of the public who have provided information to the police about suspicious activity or potential drug supply offences.

"I hope that the positive action we have taken shows that we will act on such information and reporting your concerns really can make a difference.”
