Bizarre CCTV shows moment West Yorkshire burglars make slow-motion escape on golf buggies

Police in Keighley have issued CCTV footage of men wanted for three burglaries at sports venues in the town.

The footage captures a group of masked men loading themselves and backpacks onto golf buggies before slowly driving away from the scene.

The group first targeted Keighley Golf Club on Keelham Lane in Utley, breaking in overnight between Wednesday, January 7, and Thursday, January 8.

There, they stole three golf buggies and other items including knives and alcohol from the premises. Two of the buggies were later recovered.

The burglars returned to the golf club the following night, where they again stole alcohol and a golf buggy. The stolen buggy was again recovered.

After targeting the golf club twice, the suspects turned to Keighley RUFC on Skipton Road, where significant damage was caused at some point on Friday, January 9.

Officers investigating the burglaries have released CCTV footage of the suspects taken outside the rugby club in hopes that the public can aid in identifying the men.

A spokesperson said: “Anyone who recognises the males or has information which may assist our enquiries is asked to contact West Yorkshire Police by calling 101 or go online at https://www.westyorkshire.police.uk/LiveChat quoting reference 13260014597.
