Huddersfield: Detectives investigating after man indecently exposed himself to teenager

Officers took a report from the mother of a 14-year-old girl who was walking on Nab Croft Lane at around 4.15pm on Monday, February 2.

A man approached the girl and asked her for directions; he then indecently exposed himself then he drove off.

The 14-year-old girl was not harmed but was left understandably shaken by what happened.

The man is described as an Asian man in his mid-20s, with dark brown curly hair with a goatee and he spoke with a Huddersfield accent. He was driving a bright blue sporty vehicle.

Detective Inspector Will Denton at Kirklees Safeguarding said: “We are treating this incident extremely seriously and are carrying out extensive enquiries to trace the man involved.

“I would appeal to anyone who was in that area at that time who may have seen the incident or who saw a man matching that description to come forward. I would also appeal for any dash cam footage from vehicles driving in the area at that time.

“This was distressing for the young girl involved and will obviously cause concern in the local community. Our local neighbourhood policing team have increased their patrols and will be working in the community to provide reassurance.”
