Ex headbutted woman four times after refusing to leave her alone, Leeds court told
A man who refused to leave his ex partner alone and demanded she buy him drugs attacked her when she stood up to him.
Darren Roughley ignored court orders to stay away from the woman, even after he was jailed.
But when she told him she would no do as he asked, he punched her and headbutted her four times after he let himself into her home as she slept.
Roughley, 48, was jailed at Leeds Crown Court this week after admitting ABH, two breaches of a restraining order and criminal damage.
The court heard that the pair had been in a relationship since 2023, but it only lasted around a year and decided to separate at the end of 2024.

But Roughley continued to contact her, and even made up false police reports about her.
The woman took out a non-molestation order against him, which he breached and was subsequently jailed for 12 weeks and given a one-year restraining order.
But following his release from prison, he immediately began to contact the woman again, demanding she buy him drugs.
He also attended her home and hurled abuse at her from outside.
On December 3 last year, she told him she would no longer subsidise his habit and told him to leave her alone.
The next day she was asleep on her sofa when Roughley let himself into her home and he began to attack her, repeatedly headbutting her to the face and then punching her to the face.
She pleaded with him to stop and he left after shouting more abuse at her.
He also damaged her TV and a neighbour’s car.
Roughley, formerly of Leatham Park Road, Featherstone, but now of no fixed address, appeared in court form HMP Leeds where he was being held on remand.
He has 59 previous convictions for 106 offences, including dozens of breaches of court orders.
Mitigating, Eleanor Mitten said his best mitigation for his latest offences were his early guilty pleas.
She added: “He tells me that he accepts this relationship is over.”
Ms Mitten said he suffers from delusional disorder and said: “If he fails to take his medication he can be prone to ‘flipping’, in his own words.”
Judge Tahir Khan KC gave him a 27-month jail sentence, and a new three-year restraining order.
