The West Yorkshire Prosecutions and Casualty Prevention Unit, which works to make roads safer and brought the prosecution, has warned those who try to avoid justice will be found out following the case.

Rachel Wainwright of the Digital Submission and Investigation Team, said: “We welcome the sentencing of all four of these people who attempted to blame a deceased man to try and escape justice for offences committed in their vehicles.

“Instead, all have been brought to justice for their deceit and their waste of valuable time and resource in what has been really shameful offending.”She added: “Our team is highly experienced at investigating those who attempt to evade prosecution for traffic offences.

Anyone who has footage of traffic offences or dangerous driving is encouraged to submit it to West Yorkshire Police’s Safer Roads Submissions portal at West Yorkshire Safer Roads - Op Snap.
