The raid resulted in the arrest of two men on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class B drugs. Both have been charged and will remain in custody until they appear in court.

Officers also seized Class B drugs and a large amount of cash.

Sergeant Ian Campbell, lead for the CommUnity Harehills Clear Hold Build project, said: "Concerns were raised by residents and local councillors at the recent Gipton and Harehills PACT (Partners and Communities Together) meeting about suspected drug dealing in the area.

"Drug dealing and the harm it causes to our communities are very much a focus for the Gipton and Harehills neighbourhood officers, who are committed to taking robust action against those involved in the supply of drugs and will continue to target offenders who seek to exploit and damage our neighbourhoods.

"We would like to take this opportunity to thank the local communities for your continued support and reassure them that officers remain committed to tackling the issues that matter most to residents and working with partners and the community to keep Gipton and Harehills safe.

"Information from the public plays a vital role in helping us identify offenders, gather intelligence and take positive action. We would urge residents to continue reporting any suspicious activity or behaviour that may be linked to drug dealing or other criminality."
