CCTV shows moment three HMP Wakefield prisoners rush Kyle Bevan's cell before murdering him
CCTV from HMP Wakefield Shows Lee Newell, Mark Fellows and David Taylor rushing Kyle Bevan’s cell where they murdered him.
This is the shocking moment three prisoners rushed a child killer's cell where they murdered him.
CCTV footage shows Lee Newell, 57, Mark Fellows, 47, and David Taylor, 64, laughing and joking with each other around 4pm on November 4 2025 inside HMP Wakefield while they stalk their victim, Kyle Bevan, 33.
Then an hour and forty-five minutes later, they spot Bevan and casually follow him towards his cell on the fourth floor of the prison.
Bevan was serving a life sentence with a minimum tariff of 28 years for murdering his partner’s two-year-old daughter, Lola James, in Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire, in 2020.
CCTV then shows Newell stood outside his cell door before he rushes inside followed by Fellows and Taylor. Taylor can been pulling an item from his waistband upon entry.

While inside the trio brutally attacked Bevan with makeshift weapons including a piece of metal taken from the back of a television and fashioned into a blade. Over a four minutes and 39 second period. Bevan was stabbed more than 25 times to the neck and body, a crown court heard.
After they killed him, the men positioned his body to make it look like he was asleep in bed. Bevan was not discovered until the following morning when prison staff were tipped off by an inmate.
Further injuries were caused with another weapon while evidence showed that his heart and blood vessels were damaged and that he died from blood loss, a court was told.

Mark Fellows, 45, - who is known as 'The Iceman' - is in prison for the murder of Manchester "gangland kingpins" Paul Massey and John Kinsella. Fellows shot Massey, 55, with an Uzi sub-machine gun outside his Salford home in July 2015. He then shot dead Mob "fixer" Kinsella, 53, from Liverpool, three years later.
Fellows - who was described by the judge as a "contract killer" - was given a life sentence and told he would serve a minimum of 33 years behind bars at Liverpool Crown Court in 2019.
Lee Newell was originally serving a life sentence after strangling his neighbour, 56-year-old Mary Neal, to death in Norwich, Norfolk, in 1988. He was then handed a whole life order in 2013 for murdering child killer Subhan Anwar in HMP Long Lartin the same year.
Anwar, from Huddersfield, was serving a life sentence for the murder of his partner’s two-year-old daughter.
David Taylor pleaded guilty to murdering missing woman Alisha Apostoloff-Boyarin, 24, from Ashton-Under-Lyne, Greater Manchester, and had been previously found guilty of attempting to murder a police officer in prison. Alisha was reported missing by her grandma in February 2022 and tragically her body has never been found.
Taylor then attempted to murder a Greater Manchester Police officer who had attended HMP Frankland in Durham, where he was then being held, to interview him about Alisha’s disappearance.
Following guilty verdicts, Lee Newell, Mark Fellows and David Taylor were yesterday (Friday 19 June) given life sentences at Leeds Crown Court for the murder of Kyle Bevan.
Taylor was given a life sentence with a minimum term of 20 years for Apostoloff-Boyarin's murder and a 30-year sentence for the attempted murder of the police officer.
