Clay Pit Lane: Police release update after three men arrested following serious Leeds city centre crash
Three men arrested after a teenager was rushed to hospital following a ‘serious crash’ in Leeds city centre have been released on bail.
The 18-year-old was the passenger in a grey Seat Leon, which collided with a boulder on the pavement on Clay Pit Lane on Monday (February 23). It happened on the entry slip to the Leeds Inner Ring Road at around 9.45pm.
Yesterday (February 24), the police were appealing for anyone who saw three cars - including the aforementioned Seat - driving in the area prior to the crash.

Three men were arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving but have since been bailed.
A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police explained: “Officers from the Roads Policing Unit are appealing for witnesses to the manner of driving of three cars shortly before a collision in Leeds city centre last night (February 23).
“Police were called at 9.43pm to a report of a collision on Clay Pit Lane at the junction with the entry slip to the Leeds Inner Ring Road. A grey Seat Leon was in collision with a boulder on the pavement before coming to rest in the road on the entry slip.
“A passenger from the vehicle, an 18-year-old man, was taken to hospital with serious injuries. It has since been confirmed at hospital that these injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
“From enquiries at the scene, the Seat Leon is understood to have been travelling together with a black Citroen C1 and a black Vauxhall Corsa.
“Roads policing officers are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the manner of driving of these vehicles from Sheepscar Interchange to where the collision occurred on Claypit Lane.
“Motorists who were in the area who have a dashcam are asked to check whether they have captured any relevant footage.”
