Leeds Festival drug dealers jailed after security search uncovers cannabis, cocaine and ketamine
Two men have been jailed after security staff caught them with illegal drugs at Leeds Festival.
Jerome Furusa, 24, and Denzel Mupfudza, 28, along with a 19-year-old man, were approached by security at the festival’s Orange Camp on August 24 following reports that they had been looking into tents.
Security staff noticed a strong smell of cannabis, and all three men consented to a search. Cannabis and bags of white powder - later confirmed as cocaine and ketamine - were found.
A quantity of cash was also seized during further inquiries.

The men were arrested and charged with possession with intent to supply Class A and B drugs, as well as possession of criminal property.
Detective Inspector John Graham said: “I would like to thank the security staff for acting on their instincts and detaining these individuals quickly, which allowed our officers to make these arrests.
“I hope these sentences serve as a warning to people that we take the supply of illegal drugs seriously and anyone caught in possession of these substances can expect to face a prison sentence.”
Furusa and Mupfudza both pleaded guilty to the offences and were each sentenced to four years and six months at Leeds Crown Court on Monday (November 24).
The 19-year-old is due to face trial at a later date.
