Man charged over burglaries in Beeston after police give chase on foot
The offender ran off and officers gave chase
A man has been arrested on suspicion of multiple burglaries in south Leeds.

Police Community Support Officers (PCS)s) were on patrol in Beeston on Friday (July 17) when they were approached by the victim of a burglary, stating the suspect was in the area and still in possession of their property.
They soon conducted a search of the area and found the suspect matching the description. On seeing the PCSO’s, the offender ran off and officers gave chase, catching and detaining the suspect.
“The suspect was arrested and found in possession of a large amount of property, some of which was identified as stolen in the burglary,” a West Yorkshire Police spokesperson confirmed.
Other items found in his possession were linked to other burglaries, later reported as victims came home.
Enquiries over the weekend have led to the male offender being charged with those burglaries and charged.
He has been remanded into custody after appearing in court.
