Murder investigators treating death of woman in Woodhouse, Leeds as 'domestic related incident'
Police are treating the alleged murder of a woman in Leeds as a “domestic related incident.”
Earlier today, West Yorkshire Police officially launched a murder investigation after a 62-year-old woman died following a disturbance at an address in Melville Gardens in the Woodhouse area of Leeds.
Officers attended the scene at 9.01pm last night (Thursday, November 6) and found a woman, aged 62, with serious injuries. She received urgent medical attention at the scene, but was pronounced dead a short time later.

Detective Inspector Tom Hilyer from the Homicide and Major Enquiry Team said: “Sadly, a woman has lost her life, specially trained officers are supporting the woman’s family.
“We believe this to be a domestic related incident and we are currently not looking for anyone else in connection with the death. Extensive enquiries remain ongoing at the scene.”
A man, aged 56, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder and remains in police custody.
