Pervert who made 'weird sex noises' over Xbox chat with boy is jailed

Predator targeted 10-year-old with online sex games

A paedophile would make “weird sex noises” as he groomed a boy online, a court was told.

Ziggy Forde suffers from ADHD and possibly autism, but the judge said the predator “knew exactly what he was doing”.

The 25-year-old was jailed at Leeds Crown Court after admitting a raft of offences. They included causing or inciting a child to engage in sexual activity, engaging in sexual communications with a child and multiple charges of possessing indecent images of children.

Forde had latched onto the boy online on his Xbox and sent him a friend request in 2024.

Accepting Forde’s request, they chatted but the boy later said Forde would “get weird” and make the noises.

The boy cut him off, but he them “bombarded” the youngster with messages, convincing him to chat again, where he again made the odd noises.

He asked the boy not to tell anyone or he would get into trouble. He convinced him to play truth or dare and asked the boy to expose his genitals.

Forde also exposed his genitals while laying on his bed with his camera turned on.

When his offending came to light, officers went to his home address on Agbrigg Road, Wakefield, where he was arrested and his digital devices seized.

Following analysis, police found indecent images from Category A - the most serious involving the rape of children - to Category C.

He was interviewed twice and refused to answer police questions on both occasions.

Forde has no previous convictions, but the Crown said there were elements of grooming in his behaviour and that used the games console to win favour.

Mitigating, Andrew Petterson said Forde had entered guilty pleas at the earliest opportunity and referred to his ADHD and the possibility that he was also autistic.

He described him a sa lonely, isolated individual, although he conceded it did not justify his offending.

The judge, Recorder Simon Jackson KC, told him: “I’m satisfied you knew what you were doing.

“It was planned and prolonged. You groomed and coerced this young boy.

“Only immediate custody is appropriate in this case.”

He handed him a three-year jail sentence, gave him an indefinite-length sexual harm prevention order (SHPO) and put him on the sex offender register for 10 years.
