Police appeal for information on 'convoy car' after Volvo stolen with two-year-old girl inside
The stolen car is believed to have travelled in convoy with another vehicle
Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward after a car was stolen with a two-year-old girl inside.
The Volvo was stolen from Long Thorpe Lane, Lofthouse, just before 8.30pm on Wednesday (August 5).
Within 15 minutes of the report, the police found the car near Woodlesford Lock, and the child was returned to her family safely.

Detectives want to speak to anyone who saw, or who has footage of, the grey Volvo XC90 as it travelled to Woodlesford Lock. It is believed to have arrived there at about 8.37pm.
They believe the Volvo, which has a ‘58’ plate, was travelling at excessive speed. It passed through Carlton, Rothwell and Woodlesford via Homsley Lane.
Police believe it was travelling in convoy with a blue Citroen Berlingo, and they have released a picture of that vehicle.
Anyone with information or footage which may assist this investigation is asked to contact Leeds CID via the Live Chat, quoting crime reference 13260446258.
Information can also be reported anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555111 or online.
