Serial Leeds thief jailed and banned from entering all Co-ops and Asdas in West Yorkshire
He was also given a 30 week custodial sentence
A Leeds man has been jailed and banned from entering all Co-op and Asda stores in West Yorkshire.
West Yorkshire Police applied for the special Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) as part of Shilton Flynn’s sentencing for 14 theft from shop offences and a public order offence at his local Co-Op store in Drighlington.
Flynn, 36, was also convicted of possession of Class A and B drugs and a number of driving offences and was given a 30 week custodial sentence at Leeds Magistrates’ Court earlier this month.

The CBO, which is in place for five years, prohibits him, on his release from prison, from:
- Entering any Co-op stores within the West Yorkshire area.
- Entering any Asda stores within the West Yorkshire area.
- Remaining in any retail premises when asked to leave by a member of staff within the West Yorkshire area.
Neighbourhood police officers will be working closely with retail staff to make sure that Flynn complies with his CBO, but members of the public are encouraged to support this by reporting any potential breaches they witness.
It is a criminal offence to breach the conditions of a CBO and could result in Flynn being returned to prison.
