Serial burglar jailed for Leeds and Bradford border crime spree
A serial burglar who went on a crime spree along the Leeds/Bradford border has been jailed.
Kevin Talbot, aged 60, was sentenced to four years and nine months behind bars today at Leeds Crown Court.
Talbot, of no fixed abode, was arrested after being linked to a number of burglary offences while he was wanted on recall to prison.

Detective Sergeant Seb Horan, of Leeds District Crime Team, who investigated the burglary and theft offences, said: “Thanks to forensic evidence, doorbell camera and CCTV footage, we were able to link Talbot to multiple burglary offences on the Leeds/Bradford border.
“At the time, he was also wanted for recall to prison. Extensive enquiries were made to locate him, supported by a public appeal for information on his whereabouts, as we believed he was still actively offending.
“I would like to again thank members of the public who came forward with information off the back of our appeal.”
Talbot had previously pleaded guilty to burglaries in Idle on October 23 and November 8 of last year, as well as a burglary in Esholt between October 29 and November 3.
He also pleaded guilty to a burglary in Pudsey between November 17 and 20, an attempted burglary in Calverley on November 8, and theft of parcels from outside a property in Bramley on October 30.
Talbot also admitted to dangerous driving involving a stolen vehicle in Harrogate on November 22, which eventually led to his arrest.
Detective Sergeant Horan added: “Talbot went on to steal a car in Harrogate and failed to stop for officers in Yeadon. He was arrested after crashing the car in Calverley and has been in custody ever since.
“I hope the affected communities are reassured that a prolific burglar and thief is behind bars.”
