They had been standing trial at Sheffield Crown Court this month but today changed their pleas to admit the offence.

It follows the death of 30-year-old Jamie Kelly, of Leeds, outside Vintage Rock Bar in Doncaster in May 2022.

Police were called to Silver Street at 9.40pm on 1 May 2022 where Jamie had been ejected from a bar in the area before becoming involved in an altercation with Rowing, Watson and Williams who were all working as doormen.

Jamie received serious injuries as a result of the altercation and sadly died in hospital the following day.

Rowing, 37, Watson, 44, and Williams, 30, will be sentenced at Sheffield Crown Court on April 30.

They have been released on bail until that date.

Detective Chief Inspector Andy Knowles, who was the senior investigating officer in this case, said: “Jamie Kelly and his family have been at the heart of our extensive investigation since the moment we received the first call to the scene, and I hope today’s developments can begin to provide a sense of closure for everyone who knew and loved him.

“We await the sentencing in April and ask that the family’s privacy is respected as they continue to grieve.”

Tributes poured in for Mr Kelly in the wake of his death.
