Three men were arrested following the attack.

Harris Mohammed, 24, of Carr Bottom Avenue and Riccardo Nadim, 20, from Leeds, were found guilty of attempted murder and guilty of conspiracy to possess a firearm with intent to endanger life.

A third man, Davian Lewis, 20, from Bradford, was found not guilty of conspiracy to possess a firearm with intent to endanger life, but found guilty of assisting an offender.

On Monday (Mar 16) the three men were sentenced at Bradford Crown Court.

Mohammed was sentenced to 30 years in prison.

Nadim was sentenced to 28 years in prison.

Lewis was sentenced to two and a half years in prison.

Detective Inspector Suzanne Hall of the Homicide and Major Enquiry team said: “This was a shocking incident that left a man seriously injured in the middle of the street, and it understandably caused fear and concern within the community.

“Today’s sentences send a clear message that those who choose to carry or use firearms and weapons will be pursued and brought before the courts.

“Three men have now been convicted and sentenced for their roles in this violent offence, which could easily have resulted in a loss of life.

“We remain committed to tackling criminality and will continue to work closely with partners and communities to keep people safe.”
