Three seriously injured in Potovens Lane, Wakefield crash as man charged with suspected drink-driving

A man has been charged with drink-driving following a crash in Wakefield.

Emergency services were called to the scene of a collision on Potovens Lane, Wrenthorpe at 7.55pm last night (Sunday, May 17).

Three people were taken to hospital to be treated for serious injuries that are not thought to be life-threatening.

“One man was arrested on suspicion of drink driving and has since been charged,” a West Yorkshire Police spokesperson has confirmed.
