Thug beat Wakefield neighbour with a welly and kicked her to the head in flats attack
Neighbourly friendship turned sour in night of violence
A man attacked his female neighbour, kicking her to the head, when she refused to come to his flat.
Luke McNally even attacked her with a wellington boot during the sickening and sustained assault in the communal corridor.
He was jailed at Leeds Crown Court after admitting charges of ABH, strangulation and criminal damage.
The woman had moved into the flats on Old Crown Road in the Lupset area of Wakefield in December 2025.

Her flat was opposite McNally’s. They began to socialise and the relationship became romantic.
Late at night on February 2, he came to her flat and asked her to join him, but she declined because she was with a friend.
Prosecutor Sam Roxborough said it then “kicked off”, with McNally kicking the glass panel of her door in.
He then accosted her in the communal corridor and he verbally abused her. Caught on CCTV, he then began to film her on his phone and shouting at her.
In return, she began to film him, so he grabbed her phone and threw it.
He pushed her over, forced her to the floor and put his hands around her neck. He then struck her over the head with the wellington boot.
When she finally got up, he pushed her back to the floor and put his hand around her neck again.
He pinned her to the floor and kicked her to the head. McNally then dragged her outside and was seen to kick her to the head again.
McNally, 31, was arrested four days later.
He appeared in court over a video link from HMP Leeds and interrupted proceedings, claiming he had been attacked.
The judge ordered he be muted.
Mitigating, Shila Whitehead acknowledged that McNally had anger-management issues and has problems with drink and drugs.
Judge Penelope Belcher described the attack as “sustained and thoroughly unpleasant”.
She jailed him for 43 months and handed him a 10-year restraining order.
