Attempt murder arrests made after man arrives at Leeds General Infirmary with gunshot wounds
Two men have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a man arrived at a Leeds hospital last week with gunshot wounds.
Armed police were seen around Leeds General Infirmary last Tuesday (February 24) evening after a 29-year-old presented himself injuries “consistent with a firearms discharge”.
West Yorkshire Police said that the attack did not happen on the grounds of the hospital and investigations were undertaken.

The force has now said that two further arrests have now been made after a pre-planned operation involving officers from West Yorkshire Police and Greater Manchester Police was executed in the Leigh area of Greater Manchester yesterday afternoon (Monday).
A West Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “Two men, aged 24 and 47, who are both from the Leeds area, were arrested on suspicion of attempt murder and are being transferred into custody in West Yorkshire.
“Two men, aged 27 and 44, who were previously arrested in connection with this investigation have since been released facing no further action.”
The injured man is continuing to receive medical treatment and is in a stable condition.
