Information from Leeds Observatory has shown the worst areas of Leeds with regards to the number of reported bicycle thefts over the last 12 months.
According to their information, a total of 972 reported bicycle thefts were reported to West Yorkshire Police between the period of June 2025 and May 2026.
We’ve rounded up the top 15 spots of the city where the most of these reports occurred.

1. Leeds city centre - 273
Leeds city centre reported 274 cycle thefts between June 2025 and May 2026.
2. University & Little Woodhouse - 71
The University and Little Woodhouse area recorded 71 reports of cycle thefts between June 2025 and May 2026.
3. Leeds Dock, Hunslet & Stourton - 45
Leeds Dock, Hunslet and Stourton reported 45 cycle thefts between June 2025 and May 2026.
