Residents are being urged to keep their windows and doors closed as firefighters tackle a scrapyard fire in Leeds.
Crews were called just after midnight to the blaze in Knowsthorpe Road.
West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said eight fire engines and one aerial ladder platform are on the site with teams in attendance from across the county working to bring the blaze under control this morning.
They have warned that those living around the site should “keep doors and windows closed due to a large smoke plume”.
The fire service has also warned people to avoid the area.
