Nurses rush to help e-bike rider after crash with car on Leeds road
The road was closed this afternoon
Nurses rushed to help an e-bike rider who suffered a cut to his head after a crash with an oncoming vehicle, witnesses have said.
Green Hill Road in Armley was closed this afternoon (Monday) for nearly two hours after police were called to reports of a collision between a vehicle and a bike at 12.34pm.

Two witnesses said that the e-bike collided with the car after driving onto the road from a “ginnel” and was damaged, with a twisted seat and removed pedals.
One of the witnesses said: “It faired quite well considering the damage to the van... What a mess to the windscreen.”
They said that the driver of the bike was a young male aged “around 15” and that after the collision he was able to get up, though he had suffered a “massive cut” to his head.
He was tended to by staff from St Mary’s Hospital, which is right next to where the crash happened. A witness said: “The ladies were checking his chest and he didn’t seem to be in any discomfort. Apart from his head.”

They added he was taken to hospital by ambulance, which arrived in around 20 minutes.
Police were quick to arrive on the scene and closed the road while statements were taken and enquiries carried out. A recovery vehicle also arrived to take the damage vehicle away.
The witnesses said that they have had concerns about e-bike and dirt bike riders using the road in the past.
One said: “I’m surprised it hasn’t happened before today. I hope he’s okay.”
