Fire crews rush to Leeds house fire after blaze in conservatory
Emergency services have issued an update 🚨
Fire crews rushed to a house fire in Leeds overnight.
Multiple fire engines were called to a bungalow on Somerville Drive, in the Seacroft area of the city, just after midnight today (June 15). Firefighters from Killingbeck and Moortown attended the scene.
The fire was reported to have started in the property’s conservatory. It has since been extinguished.

In a post on its incident page, West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue explained: “Fire engines from Killingbeck and Moortown responded to a fire reported to be in the conservatory of a semi-detached dormer bungalow.
“On arrival two fire fighters wearing breathing apparatus used one hose reel to extinguish the fire and used a high-powered ventilation fan to clear smoke from the property.
“Smoke alarms were fitted at the address but were not working.”
