Jorvik Tricycles steps up to support Parkinson's UK's Yorkshire Walk in Leeds
One of Europe’s leading tricycle providers, Jorvik Tricycles, has announced its role as lead sponsor for this year's Yorkshire Walk for Parkinson's UK, supporting the fundraising event taking place at Temple Newsam, Leeds, on Sunday July 19.
The event is expected to bring together hundreds of participants from across the region to raise vital funds for Parkinson's UK's Nurse Appeal. Participants can choose from a 6.1 mile or an accessible 1.1 mile route taking in the grounds of Temple Newsam while raising vital funds for the cause.

Alongside the walk, attendees can enjoy a programme of family-friendly activities, including exploring and testing a selection of the Jorvik range with a team of experts in 1-2-1 demonstrations.
The event is an important step in Jorvik’s commitment to providing accessible options for people of all abilities to enjoy the freedom of movement. The partnership carries particular significance for Jorvik Tricycles founder James Walker, whose father was diagnosed with Parkinson's and inspired the creation of the business more than a decade ago.
Talking about the event and sponsorship, James said: “Parkinson’s UK has always been central to the Jorvik Tricycles story, and being able to contribute to the charity’s work in this way has been really special.
"We’re really looking forward to the event and aiding the charity in its mission to support people with Parkinson’s and their loved ones.”
Discussing the partnership, Ailsa Dragan, Parkinson’s UK Community Fundraiser in Yorkshire said: ”It’s fantastic to have Jorvik Tricycles sponsoring our Yorkshire Walk for Parkinson’s to help raise money for Parkinson’s Nurse Appeal.
"The appeal aims to raise £9 million over three years to help increase the number of Parkinson’s specialists, giving thousands more people with Parkinson’s access to the expert care they need.
“We hope as many people as possible will come along to take part in the walk, which promises to be lots of fun.”
