'I flew to Dallas for the World Cup - and the food has already blown me away' - Danny Mei Lan Malin
Taking a trip across the Atlantic to put Dallas to the test for the World Cup
This week is a special one for me.
Not only is the World Cup underway but even more exciting is that I’ve flown to Dallas to film over the next week.
It’s on most people’s bucket list to attend a World Cup game, including mine, and recently I have been sponsored by HOLY Soft Drinks to attend the opening England match.
I was so excited for the game itself but to also try the food and meet fellow fans.
I’ve already met up with a Yorkshire contingency of food lovers!
I’m going to be in the Lone Star state to film food reviews at a range of Dallas based steak houses, burger joints and some famous eateries.
I’ll also be interviewing fans ahead of the game and trying out the stadium food.
And it’s not the first visit I’ve had Stateside this year.
I’ve recently returned home from a family holiday in New York to see relatives.
There we tried a range of pizza slices, burgers and doughnuts as well as Thai, Russian and Mexican food.
We ate in Chinatown, Little Italy, Greenpoint and Times Square areas. We were spoiled for choice.
I’m intrigued to see how Dallas will compare.
So far I’ve tried Texas’ oldest BBQ and the most amazing steakhouse!
