Bringing more than 15 years of experience to the role, Micevski began his career in Amsterdam after an early ambition to become a professional footballer.

After semi-professional stints in Italy and the Netherlands, Stefan shifted to hospitality.

Starting as a receptionist, he progressed through a range of operational and leadership roles in Europe and the UK, including positions with Holiday Inn Regent’s Park and Washington Mayfair Hotel.

His latest roles have included director of operations at The Principal (now The Milner) and general manager at Elmbank in York.

Speaking about his appointment, Micevski praised the Marriott’s “outstanding” reputation, strong team, and loyal guests.

He said: "Leeds Marriott Hotel already has an outstanding reputation within the city and has been part of Leeds' hospitality scene for decades. It is a fantastic property with a strong team, excellent facilities and a loyal guest base.

"I'm excited to join an award-winning team and help shape the next phase of growth for the hotel.

"Leeds continues to attract visitors for business, leisure, food, culture and events, and Leeds Marriott plays an important role within that ecosystem.

“I am looking forward to building on the hotel's strong relationships within the local community while continuing to welcome guests from across the UK and beyond."
