Posting on Instagram, the Leeds United-themed pub next to the Whites’ home ground published an image of Mr Lewis posing with bar staff, along with the caption: “Look who's in the Old Peacock - Matthew Lewis, Neville Longbottom from Harry Potter! 🪄”

The pub recently opened its new Kaiser Lounge, a dedicated matchday mezzanine with its own bar.

Matthew Lewis was born in Horsforth and was educated at St Mary’s Menston Catholic Voluntary Academy.

A well-known Leeds United supporter, he briefly hosted the podcast “Doing a Leeds” with former footballer Jermaine Beckford.

Lewis began acting at age 5 and was cast as Neville Longbottom in 1999. He played the role in eight films from 2001 to 2011.
