Hundreds turned out to mark Armed Forces Day in Leeds this afternoon.
Leeds Armed Forces Day was held along Briggate today (Sunday, June 28) as a parade of veterans, serving service personnel and cadets left Victoria Gardens at 11am before marching up the Headrow and down Briggate.
The day included stalls, stands and exhibitions, plus activities for the whole family to get involved with.
Serving military personnel, cadets and veterans from the Army, Navy and Air Force were all present as the city’s civic buildings were lit up red, white and blue as a mark of respect and appreciation for their service and sacrifices.
Yorkshire Evening Post photographer Steve Riding was there to captured the best of the day’s celebrations...
