The prestigious National Police Dog Trials were held in Wakefield today.
West Yorkshire Police have hosted the 64th annual National Police Dog Trials - which brought together the UK’s top police dog teams to compete at the free to attend family event in Nostell, Wakefield.
The competition saw a total of 21 police dogs and handlers from forces across the country and showcases their exceptional skills, dedication and service to public safety.
Specialist officers and their trusted canine friends were tested in three phases - tracking a person using their scent, searching an area for hidden suspects, and criminal work, obedience and agility.
