16 photos as Kevin Sinfield ends his 7 in 7 challenge in Leeds in tribute to Rob Burrow and the MND community

Kevin Sinfield has completed yet another mammoth challenge in Leeds today, raising money for motor neurone disease (MND) research along the way.

The former Leeds Rhinos legend left York on Sunday morning as he set off on the final leg of his 7 in 7: Together challenge, finishing at Headingley Stadium in Leeds.

The seven-part challenge has seen Sinfield take on seven ultramarathons in just as many days, and marks his and his team’s first official visit to Leeds since Rob Burrow died from the disease in June 2024.

On the final day of the challenge, Sinfield set out from Queen Ethelburga’s college in York, running through Green Hammerton and Cattal before reaching Wetherby and Linton. From there, he continued to East Rigston and Bardsey.

Arriving in Leeds, Sinfield and his team then joined up with the annual Santa Dash at Leeds Beckett University’s Headingley campus before completing the final extra mile with members of the MND community.

The challenge concluded at AMT Headingley at just after 3pm, where Sinfield and Burrow played together during their rugby careers.
