24 pictures as hundreds of traders and visitors flock to Yeadon for popular Sunday car boot sale

Thousands of curious visitors and traders gathered in Yeadon this weekend for one of Leeds’ largest car boot sales

For over 30 years, the Leeds & Bradford Airport Car Boot Sale has attracted thousands of curious visitors to Yeadon each weekend.

Taking place every Sunday, the flea market features over 300 traders, selling everything from toys and memorabilia to flowers and clothing.

One trader, Karen Pearson of Halifax, said she and her family-run business Tilli Textiles love coming to Yeadon “because it's such a friendly place”.

“It’s very well run, the organisers are absolutely amazing and as a woman on my own they support me greatly,” she told the YEP. “I just love coming here because there is a wonderful set of customers, there are always smiling faces, and it's just the best place to be.”

Paul Tidswell, who sells model trains, added: “It's busy up here and we get a lot of people coming up. We've done quite well over the past few years here.”
