Leeds supercar enthusiasts hit £28k fundraising milestone for local charity
Around 20 supercars gathered for the latest fundraiser
A Leeds supercar community has raised more than £28,000 for a mental health charity after years of fundraising for local services.
Leeds Supercar Meet reached the milestone through a series of events supporting Leeds Mind, with its latest fundraiser raising almost £600.
Around 20 supercars gathered at United Car Wash & Valet on Elland Road for a Supercars and Coffee event marking World Mental Health Day.

The gathering raised a further £595 for the charity, bringing together car enthusiasts, supporters and local businesses for a morning of fundraising and conversation.
Refreshments were provided by South Stand Catering.
Jason Holman, founder of Leeds Supercar Meet, said the events were about bringing people together as much as showcasing cars.
He said: "Mental health affects everyone, and our events are about bringing people together as much as they are about the cars.
"I've personally been affected by suicides in my role as celebrity tour manager, so I'm passionate about making sure that people aren't left to struggle alone.
"We're proud to have raised more than £28,000 for Leeds Mind and to continue supporting such an important local cause."
Gemma Green, community fundraising officer at Leeds Mind, said the fundraising milestone showed the difference a committed local community could make.
She said: "We're incredibly grateful to Jason and everyone involved with Leeds Supercar Meet for their continued support over the years.
"Reaching the £28,000 milestone is a fantastic achievement and demonstrates the difference that a passionate and committed local community can make."
She added the latest event was a "wonderful way to mark World Mental Health Day", helping raise money for services across Leeds and West Yorkshire.
Ms Green also thanked everyone who attended, as well as United Car Wash & Valet and South Stand Catering for their support.
The money raised will help Leeds Mind provide support, information and services to people experiencing mental health difficulties across Leeds and West Yorkshire.
