Anton Stach introduced himself as Mr Wembley, before surprising Daley with a golden ticket inviting him to be a team mascot at Leeds United’s match against Chelsea at Wembley Stadium.

Overwhelmed with emotion, Daley said he “cried” but also felt “excited” at the chance to walk on the pitch with his favourite team.

Daley comes from a family of Leeds United supporters and he’s been a fan of the team for as long as he can remember.

He’s attending the match at Wembley Stadium today alongside his granddad Danny Walsh who said the family feel “over the moon” that Daley was chosen.

Danny said: “It’s a great achievement - it’s like winning a golden ticket to be honest.

“We don’t get to go to many matches so something like this is massive.”

For Danny, watching Leeds United’s first FA Cup semi-final in almost 40 years will be an exciting experience and he feels hopeful the club will win.

But he’s most excited to see his grandson stand alongside the Leeds United team.

Danny said: “It’s going to be a right feeling and I’ve got the phone out ready to take pictures.

“This doesn’t come about every weekend, Leeds hasn’t played at Wembley in many years.

“It’s a once in a lifetime achievement.”
