Leeds locals reveal when they're putting their Christmas decorations up - from November to 'never'
You’ve settled the debate 🎄
The countdown to Christmas is officially underway, and households across Leeds are already making plans for the festive season.
But while some people cannot wait to get their trees up and their homes filled with Christmas lights, others are determined to hold off until December – and some have no plans to decorate at all.
We asked Yorkshire Evening Post readers when they would be putting their Christmas decorations up this year, and the responses revealed a wide range of traditions.

For some, the last weekend of November is the perfect time to get started, with Alicia Woodward among the readers planning to decorate then.
Others are sticking to December 1, with Danii Crowther saying she will be putting hers up alongside her advent calendar. Graham Pates also said December 1 was the date he had in mind.
There are also plenty who prefer to wait a longer. Carole Stockdale is planning to put her decorations up in the second week of December, while Angela Tolson is holding out until the weekend before Christmas.
One reader, Kyle Flanagan, said his decorations would not be going up until Christmas Eve – and would be coming straight back down on Christmas Day.
But not everyone is getting into the festive spirit just yet.
Stephen Mower simply replied “never’, while Mark Black and Neil Simm also said they would not be putting any decorations up.
Others had their own reasons for sitting the decorations out this Christmas out, with Andy Thompson pointing to the cost of buying them and keeping them lit.
And then there were those with rather more unusual approaches. One reader, Peter Harrison, revealed he had not taken his decorations down for two years, adding it “saves a job if you leave it up."
Meanwhile, Brian Smith joked: "Hang on, I'm still eating my Easter Eggs."
There were also readers who had already started getting into the festive mood, with Graham Rhodes saying his decorations would be going up on November 16.
