Families enjoyed a memorable start to the summer holidays as Frasers Plus Designer Outlet Leeds hosted a free sandcastle competition.
Celebrating the return of its popular summer beach the even, on Monday, welcomed young people across two Sandcastle Showdowns, where children put their creativity and building skills to the test.
Among the top winners were Lily, aged three, who received a VTech Kidizoom watch for her creative sandcastle design, and Georgia and Henry, whose towering creation earned them a Scribblicious 75-piece stationery set and a Paddington Football Playset.
Their entries impressed the judges with their creativity, height and attention to detail.

Everyone taking part received a medal and a retailer-donated prize, with more than 90 toys, games, books, backpacks, watches and gift sets provided by brands including Luke 1977, Precious Little One, The Works, Beauty Outlet, The Gift Company, Clarks, Baggage Factory and The Sweet Emporium.
Darren Winter, Centre Director at Frasers Plus Designer Outlet Leeds, said: “It was great to see so many families join us in getting creative at our summer sandcastle competition.
“Brilliant creations were produced, and the event was a wonderful way to celebrate the return of our beach. We would also like to thank our retailers for their generous support and for helping us ensure every participant went away with something special.”
The summer beach will remain open until August 30, giving families plenty more opportunities to enjoy some free family fun throughout the school holidays.
Visitors can also explore the outlet’s expanding retail line-up, including recent openings from premium fashion brands Belstaff and White Stuff, alongside family favourite The Entertainer.
