The bi-annual Whitby Goth Weekend once again took over the cobbled streets of the coastal town over the last few days – and of course we were there to find the best outfits.
The festival, which celebrates the gothic alternative culture and Whitby’s role in horror classics such as Dracula, takes place twice every year and sees people from all over the world travel to Yorkshire to show off their finest Gothic garb.
This weekend’s edition was the first of the year, with the second taking place from October 30 to November 1, 2026.
Photographer Richard Ponter headed down to the streets of the town to capture some of the most incredible outfits the event has seen so far.
