It was the perfect time for Dancing Queens and trying some new drinks as the Yarnbury Beer and Music Festival returned.

Taking place at the Yarnbury rugby club in Brownberrie Lane, Horsforth, the event is now in its 16th year. Kicking-off on Thursday (July 16) it is set to run until this evening (Saturday, July 18) with more than 60 different beers and ciders to enjoy.

The Yorkshire Evening Post went down to the rugby club on Friday (July 17) and captured lots of glorious photos. The sun was out and a tribute act was performing ABBA’s biggest hits.

In a note to festivalgoers, David Hornby, Yarnbury (Horsforth) RFC president, said: “We hope you enjoy your visit and our superb selection of more than 60 ales. Our festival tasting panel has already undertaken the important task of researching the ales and ciders for quality… a responsibility they certainly enjoyed.

“Who would have thought that what began as a throwaway idea would develop into our 16th festival? Whether this is your first visit or one of our regular supporters, you are most welcome.”

First launched in 2010, the Yarnbury Beer and Music Festival is now in its 16th year. Alongside the real ales and ciders, the Gin and Prosecco tent has returned again for the 2026 edition.
