Free parking on Saturdays at these Leeds council-run car parks - full list
Free parking will return to these Leeds City Council run district car parks for the next two Saturdays in the run up to Christmas.
Visitors will not have to display a ticket of register on the app at the following car parks on Saturday, December 13, and December 20.
It is aimed to help boost festive shoppers on the city’s high streets in the build up to Christmas, council chiefs say.
The fees will be waived at the following car parks:
* Wilderness – Wetherby
* Station Gardens – Wetherby
* Fink Hill – Horsforth
* Netherfield Road – Guiseley
* Marsh Street – Rothwell
* Barleyhill Road – Garforth
And the usual free parking arrangement in Otley will also continue. Normal charges apply at other times.
Coun Mohammed Rafique, executive member for Climate, Energy, Environment and Green Spaces, said: “These are really important days for these areas in the run up to Christmas.
“Offering free parking in these car parks will help support our businesses and high streets in what is a key period for them.
“This is a fantastic opportunity for people to visit these areas and take advantage of the great offerings they have during this festive period and hopefully will encourage them to return again in the New Year.”
