Greek restaurant and takeaway set to open in town centre shop 🍴
A Greek restaurant and takeaway is set to open after plans were agreed for the conversion of a town centre shop.

Leeds City Council granted planning permission for building work on a vacant building on New Road Side in Horsforth.
A planning report said jobs would be created at the new restaurant, which would be open from 9am-11pm daily.
It said: “The venture is expected to create around six full and part-time combined employment opportunities, including prep, kitchen, front-of-house and delivery roles.
“The unique Greek cuisine adds diversity to the local offer, attracting new customers and benefiting neighbouring businesses through increased footfall and shared custom.”
“The business will also contribute to community initiatives and events, strengthening local ties.”
The restaurant operators were planning to provide a food delivery service from 5pm each day.
The report said: “The restaurant will offer a unique Greek cuisine not presently available in the area, with waffles, crepes, and pastries in the morning hours, supporting diversity in the local food and drink offer.”
Council planners granted change-of-use consent for conversion of the empty unit.
