'Most desirable' North Leeds land could fetch £200k at auction
A plot of council land in north Leeds has been put up for auction and could raise £200,000 if sold.
Leeds City Council put the site in Roundhay, next to the 19th century Elmete Hall estate, on the market.

The Hammond Hall property could be redeveloped for housing or other uses, a council report said.
It said: “The plot comprises a parcel of grassland situated adjacent to the impressive 19th-century Elmete Hall in Roundhay.
“The land offers clear potential for a variety of development opportunities, subject to the necessary planning consents.”
Auction company BTG Eddisons said the site was close to Roundhay Park, schools and nurseries.
The auction site said: “Positioned in one of Leeds most desirable residential areas, the site benefits from an attractive setting surrounded by established green space and well-served by amenities.
“Excellent transport connectivity is provided via Easterly Road, enabling straightforward access to Leeds city centre and the wider region.”
Bids would be accepted on March 24, the auction site said, with a guide price of £200,000-plus.
