Start planning your journey as Christmas approaches
- First Bus has announced its timetables over the impending festive break.
- The majority of dates will see buses across the city adopt Saturday services, including over the period between Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve.
- Those who hold bus passes will still be able to use them during this period; however, there will be a later start for free travel on some dates.
First Bus has confirmed its service for the Christmas period in Leeds this year, with normal services set to end on December 23 and resume from January 3.
Between those dates, the bus company will predominantly operate a Saturday service over the Christmas break, with some services running at limited capacity on Christmas Eve, Boxing Day, and New Year’s Eve.
First Bus does recommend, though, that any travel set to take place over this period should still be planned through its official Journey Planner, which will also indicate any last-minute changes, delays or road closures that may occur at the 11th hour.
There are currently no changes either for those who hold concessionary passes to travel on the services that are operating over the Christmas period.
