Final surfacing works have taken place at a key roundabout in Leeds.
The revised surfacing works at Lawnswood roundabout were completed on Monday night after being rescheduled due to a combination of wet weather conditions and issues affecting the supply of materials.
A spokesperson for Leeds City Council said: “We're happy to confirm that rescheduled resurfacing work at the Lawnswood roundabout went ahead as planned earlier this week. We would like to thank road users for their patience.”
Major upgrade works have been underway at Lawnswood roundabout since August 2025, and once completed, it is hoped that by improving crossings, reducing vehicle speeds, and introducing cycle lanes, the revamp will turn the roundabout into a place where everyone can travel easily and safely.
Landscaping works will continue throughout the autumn, with tree planting planned for November.
