M62 crash: Drivers face ‘severe delays’ on M62 in aftermath of incident in West Yorkshire
Drivers could get caught in heavy traffic today 🚨
An earlier incident is continuing to cause huge disruption on the M62 this afternoon.
Drivers are facing long queues on the motorway near Marsden View on Sunday (May 24). AA Traffic has reported that there was a crash previously.
Heavy delays are continuing with plenty of congestion on the M62’s westbound side. Drivers heading west from Leeds could still get caught up on long queues.
Both AA Traffic and Highways England are reporting lengthy waits on the motorway currently - as of 2.15pm. On its website, The AA writes: “Slow traffic due to earlier crash on M62 Westbound before J22 A672 (Rishworth Moor).
“Severe delays of 17 minutes and delays easing on M62 Westbound between J24 A629 (Ainley Top) and J22 A672 (Rishworth Moor). Average speed 15 mph.”
There are also increasing delays on the eastbound side of the motorway, AA Traffic reports. It adds: “Delays of six minutes and delays increasing on M62 Eastbound in West Yorkshire. Average speed 20 mph.”
